SEC Newgate Global Team
Milan, Italy, 27 February 2025: SEC Newgate, the global insight, communication and advocacy Group, has recorded a 16% increase in revenues during 2024, of compared to 2023. Alongside record revenues of €204 million, all financial goals set by SEC Newgate’s management team were met, with a 30% increase in EBIDTA to €33.8 million and a 36% hike in PBT to €23.5 million over the period.
“This solid performance provides tangible proof of our ability to grow organically,” said Group CEO Fiorenzo Tagliabue.
“Some markets like the USA, Greece and the Balkans as well as the United Kingdom and Italy recorded very impressive financial results.
“We also saw growth in our medium-sized business, including in Spain, Singapore and the Middle East.”
The financial results show that the US is confirmed as SEC Newgate’s largest market, generating nearly a third of the Group’s total revenues, followed by Greece, UK, Australia, Mexico and Italy.
Overall, SEC Newgate’s footprint and business performance is balanced and well diversified, with 46% of revenues coming from EMEA, 31% from North America, 11% originating from APAC and a further 11% being generated from the LATAM region.
The positive performance from SEC Newgate is also thanks to the creation of a new regional business organisation with the appointment of five Heads of Regions in November 2023. The strong organic growth follows the reorganisation of the Group’s regional and international structure with Jon Silvan and Jef Pollock leading the North America business, Emma Kane oversees Western EMEA, Sebastian Hejnowski heads Eastern EMEA, Brian Tyson leads in APAC and Fiorenzo Tagliabue is interim head of LATAM.
This new set-up has boosted the Group’s regional sales, with a 86% increase in opportunities engaging different offices across the footprint in 2024.
In addition, the appointment of Cara Rich in April 2024 as Global Chief Growth Officer and the creation of a dedicated team to work on global prospects has started to improve the Group’s capacity to convert opportunities at the global level.
This team has been further strengthened by the recent appointment of Dan Doherty, SEC Newgate’s new Global Chair Corporate Affairs based in Washington DC.
“2024 wasn’t just a hugely positive financial year for SEC Newgate, but an operational one too,” Fiorenzo Tagliabue added. “We continue to prove that our agency is a global leader in providing strategic advice at the intersection of corporate communications and public affairs.
“We will keep building on this momentum and make all necessary investments in talent, technology and new lines of services.
“We are facing an increasingly complex geopolitical picture which is driving demand for our insights, political intelligence and a fully integrated communications offering.
“As such, we continue to help organisations navigate a world dominated by fast-moving political, economic and societal changes.”
