– Based in the United States, the former Burson senior executive and corporate affairs practice leader will work to support the enhanced demand for global services in the corporate and advocacy space within the U.S., Europe, Middle East and Asia.
– This new senior position will work closely with SEC Newgate’s flagship U.S. agency Global Strategy Group (GSG) and in close coordination with the Global Chief Growth Officer Cara Rich.

Washington DC 19 February 2025: Dan Doherty will operate as Global Chair Corporate Affairs at SEC Newgate with the specific scope of leading a comprehensive global offering to U.S. clients and prospects in the areas of corporate communications, public affairs and advocacy.

Doherty, who will be based in Washington, DC, brings decades of experience working internationally as a global PR advisor across the U.S. market, the largest in our industry. He has been battle tested in advising U.S.-based corporations and institutions in navigating international context, handling critical and sensitive institutional topics, and is a widely respected and trusted advisor by c-suite leaders across varied sectors.

Dan Doherty has a nearly 30-year track record making connections and solving complex problems including providing communications, crisis and institutional advice at some of the largest PR brands worldwide including Cohn & Wolfe, Axicom and Burson, where he served as EVP and North America Practice Leader in Global Corporate Affairs and previous to that was the North American Public Affairs and Crisis Practice Leader. He also has experience in the lobbying and advocacy sectors in Washington, DC as President of The Wade Group.
