Vassilis Mourdoukoutas is a communications and business strategy leader, currently serving as the Head of Strategy and Growth department. Since joining V+O in 2014, he has been instrumental in driving the agency’s growth and expanding its influence in Greece, while leading a high-performing team that delivers innovative strategic solutions across various industries and disciplines.
With more than 25 years of experience, Vassilis brings deep expertise in marketing, branding, and communication strategy. He has held key leadership roles, including Strategic Planning Director and Deputy General Manager at Leon & Partners Advertising SA, and Creative Planning Director at Interweave Digital Branding Agency. His background in research, honed through his work as Research Director at TNS ICAP and Workshop Ltd., further enhances his ability to develop insights-driven communication strategies with local and global impact.
Vassilis has led major public affairs, crisis management, and branding campaigns for multinational clients, particularly in the healthcare sector, contributing to his reputation as a trusted advisor for high-stakes communication challenges. His focus on transformation projects, brand architecture, and narrative strategy underscores his commitment to delivering impactful and sustainable results.
Vassilis combines his business focus with academic activity, having contributed to the development of the postgraduate program in Communication and New Journalism at the Open University of Cyprus, where he teaches communication, branding, and philosophy. He holds a PhD in Political Theory from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MA in Philosophy from the University of York, reflecting his dedication to both theoretical and practical dimensions of communication.
In addition to his professional work, he regularly contributes thought leadership on philosophy, politics, social theory, and communication to prominent publications such as Kathimerini, Popaganda, and Frear.
